About The Position

9SE is a Level I trauma and post-operative medical-surgical unit that specializes in musculoskeletal conditions including total joint arthroplasty, spine surgery, fragility fractures and multiple traumas. The unit also specializes in the care of plastic/breast reconstruction surgery. It is part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team supported by case management, pharmacy, physical and occupational therapy, advanced practice providers and physicians. Employees on this unit will be well prepared to care for patients with a wide variety of co-morbidities while attaining experience with surgical patients coming from the recovery room. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred
  • Current CNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the unit's functioning
  • Monitor and stock supplies
  • Provide patient care and related functions as delegated by and under a registered nurse's direction
