About The Position

The cast tech is an unlicensed individual who assist in carrying out routine
patient care activities under the supervision of the Physician or Registered
Nurse. The cast tech is certified by the ASOP and is responsible for general
casting, splinting, bracing, DME fitting and application and removal of such as
necessary in accordance with standards under the supervision of Md. Cast tech
may also instruct pt how to walk with crutches, cane, move with casts and
exercises.
