About The Position
UVA Orthopedics Culpeper is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join our collegial practice, which consists of five providers, including four MDs, two PAs, and one NP. This position is situated in a high-volume practice located in a growing area, allowing for a blend of small-town life with easy access to the metropolitan amenities of Washington DC and Charlottesville, Virginia. The role is primarily outpatient, with the opportunity for PAs to round in the hospital once a month. In this position, you will manage an average daily census of 16-20 patients, providing care for a variety of orthopedic conditions affecting the joints, muscles, and bones for patients of all ages. Our practice offers a range of services, including joint replacements for hip, knee, and shoulder arthritis, treatment for rotator cuff tears, labral tears, and shoulder instability, as well as care for ACL and meniscus tears, ligament injuries, and various hand/wrist conditions such as carpal tunnel and trigger finger. Additionally, you will be involved in fracture care and repair, as well as addressing adult and pediatric spine conditions. The practice is equipped with an in-house staffed x-ray room, with plans for a second room under construction, as well as facilities for prosthetics and orthotics, casting, and splinting. Importantly, this position does not require call, extended hours, or weekend work, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.
