About The Position

Orthopaedic Oncology Surgeon Department of Orthopaedics Harvard Faculty Medical Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) jointly seek a highly qualified and energetic orthopaedic oncologist to care for adult and pediatric patients. Candidates must be ABOS board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts. Fellowship training in Orthopedic Musculoskeletal Oncology Surgery is required. Proposed academic rank at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and academic achievements. Competitive base salary with productivity incentive and benefits are provided through Harvard Faculty Medical Physicians at BIDMC (HMFP). Responsibilities include clinical practice, resident and fellow education, and clinical and/or basic science research. Clinical practice duties will be split between BIDMC for the adult practice and BCH for the pediatric practice, both in collaboration with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. BIDMC and BCH are both major teaching affiliates of Harvard Medical School located in Boston’s Longwood Medical Area. BIDMC is a 766-bed hospital committed to providing excellence in clinical care, teaching, research and community outreach. BCH is a 466-bed pediatric hospital and is an international leader in pediatric orthopedic care and research. This is an urban setting with a large catchment area including the Northeast US and abroad. Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) is one of the largest physician organizations in New England, dedicated to excellence and innovation in patient care, education, and research. Pay Range: $250,000 - $400,000 The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
