About The Position

About this role: As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Orthopaedic Oncology, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will care for all ages of patients with both benign and malignant tumors, as well as patients with tumor-like conditions. Many of these patients will remain under our care for years. The ability to reflectively listen and care for patients and their loved ones who are facing potentially life altering diagnoses is essential. In joining this small team, you have the opportunity to gain expertise in this complex subspecialty, allowing you to have a broad reaching impact on many patients throughout the regional Intermountain Health system. With experience, you will be able to develop significant autonomy in caring for these patients, while continuing to have the support of a team of other providers passionate about caring well for our patients. This position includes relocation assistance if applicable up $7,500.00 You will practice at Intermountain Orthopaedic Oncology in Murray, Utah

Requirements

  • APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
  • Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline
  • Ability to meet the demands of a rotating OR Schedule
  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
  • We are not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time

Responsibilities

  • Inpatient & Outpatient Responsibilities included but too: 2-3 days in clinic & 2 days in the OR
  • Participate in preoperative planning and postoperative rounds.
  • Coordinate care across specialties to ensure timely diagnostics, treatment planning, and patient education.
  • Provide longitudinal care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgical treatment
  • Call: Primarily home/phone call
  • Patient Population: Must be able to treat all Ages from birth through adulthood
