About The Position
HCA is a seeking a full time PA or ARNP with Orthopaedic experience to join our team of dedicated professionals at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in beautiful Port Charlotte, Florida.
Requirements
- Must be board certified
- Must hold or be able to obtain an active Florida Medical License prior to start
- Be able to work various shifts between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, including weekends
Responsibilities
- Act as liaisons between our supervising doctors to the other medical providers on our patient’s case including the hospitalists, consulting teams as well as their family members, and OR scheduling office
- Order pre-op testing, appropriate daily testing including radiographs, labs, and urgent studies. We assist in booking operative cases
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many different surgeons who follow different protocols
- Perform bedside procedures including aspirations, injections, applications of splints, braces and casts, bedside I and Ds, as well as closed reductions
