About The Position

Smile Island Pediatric and Adult Dentistry is seeking a team member for the position of Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator in Rocklin, CA. This part-time role requires working three days a week (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays) during our office hours, which are Mondays-Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Our Hawaiian-themed dental office is fast-paced, fun, and rewarding, with a dedicated team that prides itself on excellent patient care, customer service, and work ethic. The Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator will guide prospective patients through the consultation process, ensuring a warm welcome, taking x-rays and photos, consulting with the Orthodontist, presenting fees and proposals, and initiating treatment plans. The role also involves explaining treatment benefits, insurance plans, financial arrangements, coordinating appointments, and building professional relationships with patients.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in a dental or orthodontic environment (orthodontic experience is strongly preferred).
• X-ray license required.
• Great customer service skills and a passion for working with kids.
• Understanding of clinical procedures and CDT codes.
• Proficiency in dental insurance plans preferred.
• Experience presenting treatment plans and financial arrangements.
• Knowledge and experience with electronic claims submission.
• Enthusiastic team skills, an outgoing personality, and a positive attitude.
• Organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities
