Requirements

• 3+ years of orthodontic insurance experience.
• Experience with ADA codes and dental terminology.
• Knowledge of Dolphin Imaging Management Software is required.
• In-depth knowledge about insurance, including employer plans, PPOs, and fee-for-service.
• Ability to type 50+ WPM.
• Proficiency in electronic communications, file transfers, emails (including Outlook Express), PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to clearly explain financial options.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a dental office environment.
• Familiarity with orthodontic treatment processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of dealings with insurance companies, including verification, submission, adjustment tracking, and troubleshooting.
• Help patients understand their financing options for deductibles or treatments not covered by insurance.
• Prepare monthly patient account reports and manage accounts receivable.
• Perform billing and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Answer phones and schedule patients for visits when required.
