Requirements

  • Required: X ray Certification, EFODA (or willing to get it w/in 6mo of hire)
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Reliable
  • Team-oriented
  • Eager to learn Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior dental or orthodontic assisting experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate!)

Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
  • Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable - before, during, and after their appointment - about their treatment and oral health.
  • Take and process dental radiographs,digital scans and intraoral photos.
  • Prepares and sterilizes treatment room and equipment.
  • Provide chair-side assistance to Providers during treatment procedures.
  • Documents orthodontic care services by charting in patients’ records.
  • Assist the orthodontist in assessing a patient's teeth and implementing a plan to straighten them.
  • Perform routine orthodontic duties, including cleaning and adjusting orthodontic applainces.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment.
  • Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g, OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, Employee Handbook).
