About The Position

Dental Health Associates (DHA) in Madison, WI is seeking a full-time Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our award-winning team. This role supports Dr. Ammar Alsamawi and includes a rotating schedule between our Fitchburg and Gammon locations. Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Starting pay is $20/hour, with higher wages available for experienced orthodontic assistants. Experienced assistants are encouraged to apply for competitive pay tailored to your background.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous orthodontic assistant experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, terminology, and equipment is preferred.
  • Completion of a dental assistant program is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist orthodontists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and efficiency.
  • Prepare, sterilize, and maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
  • Take dental x-rays and impressions, following all safety protocols.
  • Educate patients on orthodontic care, including the use of retainers and proper oral hygiene techniques.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
  • Foster a positive experience for patients through excellent care and communication.
