Requirements

1–2 years of orthodontic assisting experience (required)
Radiology certification (required)
Orthodontic assisting certification (preferred or required by state)
CPR certification (required)
Proficiency in digital charting software (Dolphin, OrthoTrac, or equivalent)
A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to multitask in a high-volume setting

Responsibilities

Assist orthodontists with all chairside procedures: bonding, wire adjustments, debonding, impressions, and retainer fittings
Take and process digital X-rays, intraoral photographs, and iTero® scans for treatment planning
Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments per OSHA and CDC guidelines
Educate patients and parents on appliance care, hygiene, and treatment timelines
Maintain accurate documentation in patient records using modern software
Ensure a smooth clinical workflow and exceptional patient experiences throughout the visit
Travel as needed between locations (Canton, West Hartford, Cromwell, Newington)
