Requirements
- Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and infection control standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Team members are expected to uphold the culture outlined in the SDB Handbook, with a focus on our core values and any additional responsibilities as defined.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Doctor with orthodontic treatment
- Preparing teeth for bonding and debonding
- Charting of patient information
- Prepare and maintain orthodontic instruments, supplies and equipment
- Take photos, x-rays, and impressions
- Educate & instruct patients about oral health and appliance care
- Assist with the placement/removal of orthodontic appliances
- Motivate patients to take an active role in their treatment
- Managing a fast-paced patient schedule
- Helping manage sterilization department
- Assist with efficient clinic flow: Turning over chairs, making appointments, seating and excusing patients with a smile
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
