About The Position
Grove Dental Associates is seeking a dedicated and certified Orthodontic Assistant to join our team in Bolingbrook, IL. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing exceptional chair-side clinical support to our orthodontic doctors. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in orthodontic assisting and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our orthodontic practice. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in patient care, which includes charting, operatory set-up and clean-up, and patient education. You will be responsible for recording and reviewing patient health histories, making chart entries under the direction of the doctor, and ensuring that all necessary forms and signatures are completed in our dental software. Additionally, you will enter and update patient treatment plans as directed by the treating doctor, and you will assist in preparing treatment estimates for discussion with patients. Your technical skills will be essential as you will be required to change and remove wires, brackets, and adhesive, take impressions and scans, and prepare teeth for bonding. You will also review the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments, ensuring that our practice runs efficiently and effectively.
