Orthodontic Assistant (OA)/ Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Requirements
- Great customer service skills and a passion for working with kids
- Must possess an OA
- Fun, positive, and caring attitude
- Team-oriented
- Must be available for full-time 5 days per week (Mon- Fri), or part-time 3 days per week schedule Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays
- Responsible, respectful, and self-motivated
- Prolonged periods of standing, leaning and bending
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Dexterity of arms, hands, and fingers to handle dental tools
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be physically able to administer CPR
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year as an RDA or OA preferred in orthodontic practice
Responsibilities
- Allowable RDA and OA duties as set forth by the Dental Board of California
- Assisting the dentist/orthodontist during examinations and treatment
- Supporting day-to-day operations by delivering quality work and excellent patient care
- Recording treatment information in patient records and all pertinent medical and dental history
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and tray setups for dental procedures
- Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment
- Greeting patients by name and preparing them for treatment with a friendly, service-centered disposition
- Utilizing pano, cephs, iTero, and other approved photography tools
