About The Position

As an Ortho Tech at DMOS working in Ankeny, you'll help our patients get back to living by taking an important step in their care by gathering basic information to efficiently support the Physician during a patient's appointment. Every day you will work alongside our Physicians and fellow clinical team members to create a comfortable patient experience, ensuring everyone gets seen in a timely fashion. To thrive in this role, you have a passion for patient care and orthopaedic field. This is a Monday - Friday full-time opportunity, with a Saturday (8AM-12pm) coverage every 6-8 weeks.

Requirements

• Communication. You know how to communicate clearly and professionally. You know how important it is to listen, ask questions, and avoid interrupting.
• Calm. Ability to provide reassurance when patients are nervous.
• Independent worker. You know how to keep yourself focused and when to ask for help.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and preparing patients for their Orthopaedic appointment.
• Assisting with casting, cast removal and wound care.
• Assisting patients with their care during appointments
