About The Position

Full Time, Days Position Summary: Transports adult and pediatric patients, Sets up orthopedic equipment, takes directives and provides assistance to surgeons with regard to casting and traction applications. Sets up plaster carts and assists with room turnover in the O.R. Assists with all duties as evidenced in the OR Assistant job description.

Requirements

• EDUCATION: Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: American Heart Association BLS certification
• OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: None required.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred: CNA, EMT, Nursing Student, Ortho Tech
• EXPERIENCE: Previous Operating Room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports adult and pediatric patients to the O.R. and post-operatively as requested.
• Assists with Surgical Services room turnover.
• Restocks department throughout the day
• Performs errands as directed.
• Applies cast, traction and orthopedic equipment to patients throughout the facility, as ordered by physician.
