As an Occupational Therapist in an outpatient setting, you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. You will conduct physical therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, implementing individualized treatment plans based on the findings and goals established by the Physical Therapist evaluation. This role requires you to modify treatment plans as appropriate based on ongoing assessments and consultations with the Physical Therapist. You will also collect patient data and communicate discharge recommendations when maximum benefit has been achieved, adhering to standards of practice and payer guidelines. Additionally, you will participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and support quality standards set by the department. You will be involved in marketing to physicians to build referral relationships and participate in community events to promote public awareness of the services offered.
