About The Position

Overview: Monday- Friday, 8-hour shifts between the hours of 7am- 5pm. No on-call, No holidays, No weekends. Must have dependable transportation. Job Description Summary: Assists the Orthopedic Physicians in the examination, treatment, and follow-up care of patients with orthopedic conditions. Job Description: Essential Functions: Prepares patients for orthopedic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort during the procedure. Applies and removes casts, splints, and braces as directed by the physician. Assists physicians in the reduction of fractures and dislocations. Orders and maintains inventory of orthopedic supplies and equipment. Cleans and sterilizes equipment and instruments to ensure patient safety. Maintains accurate patient records and ensures that they are up-to-date. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, andcommunication skills.
  • One year previous healthcare experience, preferred.
  • Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person (s) and/or equipment.
  • Local travel to offsite locations

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from a Medical Assisting Program, STNA, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Experience as Orthopedic Cast Tech, Suture Tech, or EMT, preferred.
