About The Position

Southeast Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. Our practice is dedicated to delivering best-in-class patient care, focusing on putting every patient first during every visit. We operate under the guiding principle of empathy and are on a mission to transform the dental experience. Partnering with North American Dental Group, we have the necessary support to ensure excellent patient care. The position requires working 10-12 days per month with a pay rate ranging from $20.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• 0-2 years’ experience
• State Licensure where specified
• Valid Dental Radiographer License for respective state requirements
• CPR Certification Required
• Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to doctors, including charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health history, make chart entries under the doctor's direction, and assure completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Enter and update patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor.
• Change and remove wires, brackets, and adhesive; take impressions and scans; prepare teeth for bonding.
• Prepare treatment estimates for review and discussion with patients.
• Review the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepare patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, maintain chain of asepsis, prepare materials, and assist the dentist during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
