About The Position

We are seeking an Ortho Assistant to join our team and provide support to orthodontists in a dental practice. The Ortho Assistant will assist with orthodontic procedures, prepare patients for treatment, and maintain patient records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Certification or Associate Degree in Dental Assisting preferred.
• Prior experience working in a dental office or orthodontic practice.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in CPR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during procedures and treatments.
• Prepare patients for orthodontic treatment by taking X-rays, impressions, and photos.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and care instructions.
• Sterilize and maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Manage patient records accurately and efficiently.
• Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
• Work collaboratively with the orthodontic team to ensure smooth operations.
