Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Orion Systems Integration and Test Engineer Asc (Electrical Systems). Be a part of the Artemis and Orion teams taking astronauts to the Moon and beyond. As an ATLO (Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations) Electrical Test Engineer on the Orion program, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of electrical integration activities for the Orion spacecraft for Artemis II (first crewed flight), Artemis III (lunar landing), and future missions. Summary of Key Duties for this position: Develop test plans, test procedures, and automated test scripts for system and subsystem-level electrical tests on the Orion spacecraft and test articles Perform test procedure and test script checkout in the Orion Test Labs in Denver and Houston when needed Execute test procedures on current flight articles (Artemis II and Artemis III), the Environmental Test Article (ETA), and future vehicles under Orion production Collaborate with team members across the program including systems engineering, CPEs/RSEs, software, test labs, manufacturing, quality, and NASA The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of test engineering, operations, and processes and experience writing test plans, test procedures, or technical documents and have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Candidate must be willing to work extended hours, varied shifts and weekends occasionally in support of test activities and willing to travel. Must be a US Citizen; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related electrical engineering degree path from an accredited college or university.

Nice To Haves

  • Local candidates strongly preferred
  • Course Area studies preferred in: RF, Embedded Systems, Aerospace Power Systems, etc.
  • Fundamental knowledge of test engineering, operations, and processes
  • Experience writing test plans, test procedures, or technical documents
  • Experience in subsystem/system electrical integration and powered testing
  • Experience preparing for and executing spacecraft or system-level tests
  • Knowledge of the Orion spacecraft or experience on a production spacecraft program
  • Current or former Certified Test Conductor (CTC)
  • Experience with spacecraft commanding and telemetry monitoring software
  • Familiarity with electrical ground support equipment and test equipment
  • Experience using Automation Framework tools
  • Understanding of automated test scripts and configuration management
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules
