Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Orion Systems Engineer. Be a part of the Artemis and Orion teams taking astronauts to the Moon and beyond. As a Systems Engineer on the Orion program, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of hardware and software integration activities for the Orion Integrated Test Laboratory in support of Artemis III (lunar landing) and future missions. Summary of Key Duties for this position: Responsible for ensuring the Orion Integrated Test Labs is integrated, maintained and operational. The candidate ideally has a background in system and/or subsystem test and integration. Willing/able to support test shifts in the Orion Test Labs with occasional evening and weekend shift assignments.

Requirements

  • B.S in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an accredited college or university
  • Basic hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience
  • Willing to work extended hours, including 2nd shifts and weekends, in support of test activities

Nice To Haves

  • Fundamental knowledge of test engineering, operations, and processes
  • Experience writing test plans, test procedures, or technical documents
  • Experience in subsystem/system electrical integration and powered testing
  • Course Area studies preferred in: RF, Embedded Systems, Aerospace Power Systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of the Orion spacecraft or experience on a production spacecraft program
  • Current or former Certified Test Conductor (CTC)
  • Experience using Automation Framework tools
  • Understanding of automated test scripts and configuration management
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules
  • Works effectively independently and as part of a team
