About The Position

As an Originations Analyst, you will be a key part of Lead Edge’s growing Originations practice. As LEC scales and markets evolve, sourcing from intermediary channels has become crucial to deal flow. The Originations group at Lead Edge focuses on deal generation, with an emphasis on intermediary relationships, and supporting the broader firm in identifying new opportunities. Primary responsibilities of an Originations Analyst will be assisting with the operations of the Originations efforts such as internal reporting, CRM management, analysis projects on coverage, and process shepherding, as well as supporting outward-facing sourcing efforts such as relationship building and entertainment. With a small team today, the Originations team represents a growth opportunity within Lead Edge.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of adjacent experience such as sales operations, business development, investment banking, or consulting is a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated interest in working in or around the technology industry
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Organized, able to streamline processes for greater efficiency
  • Familiar with CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and venture capital/growth equity
  • Team-first orientation with the ability to contribute to firm culture
  • This is an in-person role based in New York City. Applicants must be in or willing to relocate to the New York area.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of internal systems and workflows to ensure proper sourcing documentation
  • Own end-to-end data management, including data entry, maintenance, and reporting.
  • Conduct data-driven analyses on sourcing efforts to help guide coverage decisions
  • Support with “Air Traffic Control” developing the right institutional knowledge of LEC to make the best connections to external parties
  • Assist in preliminary processing and review of investment opportunities
  • Source, develop, and maintain new relationships with peers at relevant firms
  • Participate in entertainment such as in-person meetings, events, dinners, etc.
