The position involves assisting with program development and logistics, including advising coordination, registration management, staffing, marketing, risk management, and assessment. The role requires applying student development theory and best practices to enhance student transition and engagement, supporting course registration during orientation, and collaborating with various departments to connect students with services that foster success and belonging. Additionally, the position includes maintaining strong communication with departments across campuses, contributing to assessment planning, supporting overnight orientation logistics, and developing orientation materials in collaboration with Marketing and Communications. The candidate will also manage email campaigns, oversee social media and print communications, support recruitment and training of Orientation Leaders, and assist with campus-wide events and special projects as assigned.
