About The Position

Intermediate District 287 is looking for an Orientation and Mobility Specialist for the 2025-2026 school year with Itinerant Services! Intermediate District 287 serves students in grades K-12, as well as transition age students (18-22 years old), from our 12 member districts in the west metro area. Our district offers a wide range of services and specialized programs, primarily focused on setting IV special education, that is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. Requirements

  • Interested in candidates who are: diverse, bilingual, or have experience working with diverse populations
  • Bachelor's degree in orientation and mobility from an accredited college or university
  • Master's degree in orientation and mobility is preferred
  • Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Education in orientation and mobility
  • An additional license in vision impairment is preferred
  • National Certification from Association for Education and Rehabilitation of Blind/Visually Impaired (AER)
  • Valid Minnesota driver's license is required
