Orientation and Mobility Intern

We’re seeking an Orientation and Mobility Intern to gain the skills they need to lead towards certification. This position will be a member of the Orientation and Mobility Team, fostering and developing skills with youth and adults across the programs at Lighthouse Central Florida. This is a structured training program performing entry-level specialized professional work in providing orientation and mobility services to persons who are blind or visually impaired. What You’ll Do Be a part of a multidisciplinary team delivering vision rehabilitation services Get hands on training with both youth and adults Collaborate across teams to see full picture of services and impact Provide direct client support and Orientation and Mobility Evaluations as appropriate Learn from a team of professionals eager to bring and support new individuals into the field What You Bring Passion for mission-driven work and improving lives Current enrollment in the final year of an accredited college or university bachelor’s or master’s degree program or certificate program in orientation and mobility.
