About The Position
SEIU Local 1000 is a progressive public sector labor union representing over 96,000 California state employees in ten different bargaining units. We negotiate and enforce a complex contract that ensures good working conditions, fair wages and secure health care and retirement benefits. We are seeking an Organizer in Training for our Strategic Campaigns Department in Oakland, CA. This is an entry level position to the Organizer classification. The OIT will complete a formal and informal training program, including extensive on-the-job training, designed to develop the skills necessary to advance into the journey level Union Representative/Organizer classification.
