How You Will Make a Difference MD&A is looking for an Organizational Development Manager to assess, develop and implement programs to support the fast-growing organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how to apply principles of psychology to human resources, administration, management, sales and marketing to create various initiatives enhancing the employee experience, attracting and retaining talent, and expanding the business. Our Organizational Development Manager reports to the Director of HR, located in Latham, NY, and is part of a dedicated and focused HR/People Operations Team who support MD&A’s #1 priority – OUR PEOPLE!

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development/Leadership or related field of study
  • 4 years or more of experience in organization development, learning and development or related experience, with at least 2 years leading a team in organization development and/or learning and development
  • Able to travel to support business development needs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of organization development concepts and principles
  • Ability to foster teamwork
  • Ability to develop and mentor others
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence others
  • Problem/situation analysis, analytical thinking skills, strategic thinking skills, and project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Studies organizational structures, business and operating procedures, reporting relationships, and team interactions.
  • Analyzes results of needs assessments, focus groups, or employee interviews and identifies organizational weaknesses or areas for improvement.
  • Creates interventions meant to address performance issues or gaps and monitors program progress to completion.
  • Responsible for management or executive development programs.
  • Implements learning and development policies and programs, which may include technical training, management or organizational development, sales training, train-the-trainer programs, or learning management.
  • Coordinates with managers to identify skill/knowledge gaps and identify training needs, develops training courses, curriculum, or materials, and delivers and evaluates training sessions.
  • Selects training tools or training delivery mechanisms, based on the material being taught and the audience being targeted.
  • Coordinates guest trainers or subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Assesses training effectiveness and modifies programs to improve results.
