About The Position

The Organizational Development (OD) Consultant at Houston Methodist plays a crucial role in enhancing organizational effectiveness through assessment, intervention, and evaluation. This position focuses on leadership effectiveness, change management, and talent assessment, aligning with the overall business strategy and objectives of the organization. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders to implement and measure the outcomes of various OD initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in training, communication, education, healthcare, industrial-organizational psychology, instructional design, or related field.
• Three years of experience in a human resources, leadership, or organizational development role, including training and coaching.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and other presentation software.
• Strong project management and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Vendor certification in assessment tools such as Birkman, Crucial Conversations, or Change Management (ADKAR).
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in organizational assessment and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Implement interventions and follow up on their effectiveness.
• Conduct leadership coaching and assist in needs assessment.
• Support talent assessment and succession planning initiatives.
• Facilitate the new leader assimilation process and engagement assessments.
• Serve as an internal consultant for various organizational levels.
• Implement change management activities for assigned projects.
• Support and coordinate OD projects affecting organizational change and employee engagement.
• Develop and maintain metrics to evaluate OD interventions.
