About The Position

Part-time position Salary commensurate with experience Seeking a professional While the candidate is not required to be a practicing Roman Catholic, familiarity with the Roman Catholic service and liturgical traditions is important.

Responsibilities

Play organ/piano for all weekend Masses: Saturday: 4:30 PM Sunday: 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM
Play for all Holy Days of Obligation
Play for weddings and funerals separate remuneration as set by agreement between musician and pastor
Coordinate music for special liturgical services as needed
Recruit members of the congregation for: Adult choir Children's choir
Re-establish choirs to participate in one weekly service (September-June)
Determine and schedule choir rehearsal times, as needed
Plan the music program+ select the choral music for the liturgical
Rehearse/prepare the choir for the planned
Attend Liturgy Committee meetings 1 hour 1x a month
Participate in discussions related to: Liturgy planning Pageants, Plays Special parish events
