About The Position

Part-time position Salary commensurate with experience Seeking a professional While the candidate is not required to be a practicing Roman Catholic, familiarity with the Roman Catholic service and liturgical traditions is important.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with the Roman Catholic service and liturgical traditions

Responsibilities

  • Play organ/piano for all weekend Masses: Saturday: 4:30 PM Sunday: 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM
  • Play for all Holy Days of Obligation
  • Play for weddings and funerals separate remuneration as set by agreement between musician and pastor
  • Coordinate music for special liturgical services as needed
  • Recruit members of the congregation for: Adult choir Children's choir
  • Re-establish choirs to participate in one weekly service (September-June)
  • Determine and schedule choir rehearsal times, as needed
  • Plan the music program+ select the choral music for the liturgical
  • Rehearse/prepare the choir for the planned
  • Attend Liturgy Committee meetings 1 hour 1x a month
  • Participate in discussions related to: Liturgy planning Pageants, Plays Special parish events
