The Organ Utilization Specialist directs the allocation of organs from organ donors to potential transplant centers and coordinates import organ offers on behalf of transplant centers. The ideal OUS candidate will possess knowledge related to United Network of Organization Sharing (UNOS) regulations, donor evaluation and management, authorization, and organ allocation for transplant and research/education. The OUS effectively identifies and communicates vital clinical information and serves as the primary point of contact during the organ import and organ allocation processes. Our primary focus is to provide a consistent service that is accurate and timely enabling our counterparts to effectively make decisions that yield optimal organ transplant results.
