DonorConnect is looking for a full-time Organ Utilization Coordinator to support our organ transplant and research efforts. If you have knowledge of the organ and tissue transplant field, are interested in assisting with research, and have a strong mind for logistical coordination, apply now! DonorConnect is a federally designated nonprofit community service organization dedicated to the recovery of organs and tissues to be used for life-saving transplants. Our employees help save and heal lives! The Organ Utilization Coordinator (OUC) is primarily responsible for the allocation of organs for transplant and research as well as the coordination of organ recovery and delivery arrangements. You will coordinate renal, pancreas, and research organ allocations according to established policies. Additionally, the OUC will act as the primary coordinator for all case-related communication and reporting to the renal and pancreas transplant programs. You will work with the Surgical Services Department to coordinate logistical aspects of renal machine perfusion and assist with delivery arrangements for donor specimens, research tissue, and organs. The OUC will play a vital role in the coordination of DonorConnect's GPS tracking program. You will inform transplant centers of GPS trackers attached to accepted organs, monitor the tracking of each organ, and assist with the return of each GPS tracker. Finally, you will support the Organ Utilization Manager in developing and implementing research protocols, assist with data gathering, and support quality assurance activities. At DonorConnect, we expect your behavior will be consistent with our I CARE + values - integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect and expertise.
