The Opportunity Coordinate surgical organ recoveries from scheduling through completion in collaboration with surgical teams, donor hospitals, OPOs, and partners. Manage recovery timelines, including scheduled start times, cross-clamp windows, recovery milestones, and completion. Coordinate air and ground transportation for surgical teams, including flights/charters, ground transfers, and contingency planning. Communicate real-time updates, ETAs, and changes to surgical teams and operational leads. Provide operational support during assigned scheduled call days and assist with troubleshooting delays or disruptions per escalation pathways. Coordinate post-recovery organ transport, including timing confirmation, handoff logistics, and required documentation. Ensure accurate communication of transport methods, departure and arrival times. Activate and manage backup transport plans when needed, escalating time or transport sensitive issues promptly. Serve as an operational point of contact for: surgical recovery teams, donor hospitals, OPO partners, and transportation vendors. Communicate clearly, accurately, and professionally in high-pressure situations. Escalate issues, risks, or delays to leadership and surgical team promptly. Collect, organize, and document operational data related to each recovery, including but not limited to: scheduling details, transportation timelines, and key recovery milestones. Maintain accurate documentation to support case tracking, operational reporting, and quality review. Participate in post-case debriefs as requested.
