About The Position
The Organ Procurement Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating the donation process of authorized organ donors, including medical management, organ evaluation, and allocation. This role involves assisting surgeons in the operating room during organ recovery and responding to hospitals for potential organ donor referrals. The coordinator must communicate effectively with transplant surgeons, hospital personnel, and donor families while adhering to local, state, and federal guidelines for organ allocation and recovery.
