We partner with hospitals, transplant centers and other partners to coordinate the organ and tissue donation process. Job Summary: Due to growth, HonorBridge is recruiting for an Organ Donation Coordinator. The Organ Donation Coordinator facilitates organ donation by evaluating referrals and managing the entire organ donor process including medical management of the donor, organ allocation and overseeing organ recovery. The ideal candidate has experience in critical care, the ability to function in high-pressure situations and knowledge of an operating room environment. This position requires (3)16-hour call days a week. Individuals work shifts (8am to midnight) and night shifts (5pm-9am). All ODC's are required to work both day and night shifts. In addition, there is a minimum requirement to work nights and weekends based on a points system. Individuals must be prepared to be onsite at Duke Hospital, UNC Medical Center, Rex Healthcare, or Wake Med Raleigh Campus within one hour from notification when on call. Note that Organ Donation Coordinator's are activated to sites depending on daily activity. Geographic distance is taken into consideration for assignments. Organ Donation Coordinators should anticipate travel every shift.
