About The Position
The Organ Allocation Specialist at UC San Diego Center for Transplantation plays a critical role in the transplant process by assisting in the review and coordination of deceased donor organ offers. This remote position requires 24/7 coverage on a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure timely communication and collaboration with various medical teams and transplant coordinators. The specialist will facilitate the acceptance or refusal of donor organs and coordinate organ recovery efforts, ensuring the efficient placement of organs for transplant candidates.
