About The Position

The Patient Support Orderly provides assistance to all nursing and testing units and other hospital areas for patient related activities including but not limited to: transportation of patients, patient items and clinical equipment, lifting/boosting of patients, setting up traction and other direct care activities as trained. These include but not limited to: ECG's, Code Blue, Code 8, other emergencies, and Post Mortem care and transport. The Patient Support Orderly is responsible for assuring that equipment needed by the nursing units is properly assembled, cleaned, maintained and delivered. Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • CPR and AED Training/Certification, and/or previous patient care experience preferred.
  • CPR/AED training will be scheduled within the first 60 days from hire date.
  • Must attend and complete MOAB training within the first 6 months from hire date.
  • This is a bargaining union position.
