The Order Taker position at The Tampa EDITION involves taking room service orders over the phone, responding to guest inquiries about the menu, and ensuring timely communication with the kitchen and management regarding orders and guest needs. This role is essential in providing high-quality service and maintaining cleanliness in the work area while adhering to company policies and safety procedures.

Take phone orders for room service.
Answer questions regarding menu selections and confirm with kitchen staff.
Address guest inquiries about wine origins, harvests, and styles.
Locate and log return calls for room service orders.
Notify guests and management about delivery delays.
Communicate any extra food orders, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order.
Complete closing reports, including MICROS reports.
Process all payment methods.
Comply with all safety and company policies, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating their service needs.
Assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Communicate clearly and professionally with others and answer phones using proper protocol.
Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team in achieving common goals.
Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
No prior related work experience required.
No supervisory experience required.
No specific license or certification required.
