About The Position

The Order Selector at SpartanNash is responsible for efficiently completing customer orders by selecting products from warehouse racks and preparing them for delivery. This role involves operating powered industrial equipment and working in various temperature-controlled environments to ensure the safe handling and packaging of food products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior order selecting experience preferred.
• Prior experience operating powered industrial equipment preferred.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks accurately while meeting production standards in a fast-paced warehouse operation.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned (e.g., freezer, coolers, dry conditions).
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets of various food products for delivery to customers using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Operate powered industrial equipment such as single and double pallet jacks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist.
• Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock/low volume products.
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure the safety of products and prevent damages.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
