About The Position

An Order Selector Spirits is responsible for the start-to-end order selection process for customer orders which include spirits. Accuracy, product care/handling, safety and security all are a top priority for these customer orders. The Order Selector Spirits is also responsible for daily inventory management and care of the spirits product inventory. This includes daily counts/reconciliation, monitoring code dates and out of stock situations, properly handling and accounting for damaged product/returns, moving product within the DC area and moving/staging customer orders. This role is part of the Operations/Distribution Center team. Here's more of what you will do... (Okay, not all in one day!) An Order Selector Spirits can be expected to perform the following tasks in this role as a routine part of their job:

Requirements

• 18 Years of Age or Older
• Previous Distribution Center Experience; preferrable in an Order Selector Role
• Ability to Read and Understand English; Ability to Read and Interpret a Warehouse Pick Ticket
• Basic Math Comprehension

• High School Graduate or Equivalent Certificate
• Forklift and Other DC Equipment Experience/Certifications
• Advanced Time Management and Organizational Skills

Responsibilities

• Builds customer orders efficiently and quickly using company equipment while meeting the minimum distribution centers performance standards throughout shift.
• Reads and interprets the distribution center pick tickets.
• Accurately checks and verifies all loads ensuring all customer orders are complete, accounting is correct and verifies inventory.
• Works carefully to ensure high-value inventory is handled safely and is undamaged during product selection process.
• Ensures the accuracy and correctness of each order with the understanding that both beer portfolio and spirits portfolio are included in each order.
• Loads, unloads and moves product repetitively using appropriate equipment throughout shift; performs required inventory and delivery documentation and accurately completes all paperwork.
• Performs proper product rotation in accordance with FIFO or as instructed by leadership.
• Counts each pallet by layer and tie to assure proper counts on all products received into or shipped out of inventory.
• Performs daily counts and reconciliation of existing product inventories while monitoring code dates and any out-of-stock situations that need attention Inventory management.
• Performs daily inventory counts with proper inventory hand-held device and reconciles counts against eoStar expected quantities.
• Replenishes and stocks racks assigned to the inventory team daily utilizing FIFO rotation practices; ensures all are properly slotted.
• Captures and enters all code dates and quantities when performing the weekly close-dated product inventory counts.
• Follows and adheres to all compliance and process standards related to product handling, equipment and safety practices and procedures.
• Operates all distribution centers equipment in a safe and courteous manner in compliance with safety standards, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Maintains appropriate equipment certifications in accordance with company policy.
• Follows established product handling procedures regarding condition and appearance.
• Properly handles damaged product, product returns and dunnage.
• Ensures work area is clean and organized; responsible for keeping distribution center clean and organized at all times.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and organized at all times.
