About The Position

The Order Puller receives and processes incoming and outgoing orders for materials, and/or merchandise to satisfy customer requests. This position involves verifying customer and order information, responding to customer orders, reviewing orders for completeness, recommending merchandise, inspecting outgoing work, checking inventory, notifying departments about low supplies, filing orders, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and relay written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to operate various hand and power tools when needed.
  • Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Responsibilities

  • Verify customer and order information for correctness.
  • Receive and respond to customer orders as required.
  • Review orders for completeness and forward incomplete orders for further processing.
  • Recommend merchandise or services that will meet customer’s needs.
  • Inspect outgoing work for compliance with customers’ specifications.
  • Check inventory system to determine availability of requested merchandise.
  • Notify appropriate departments when supplies are low.
  • File copies of orders received or post orders on records as required.
  • Maintain proficiency in all organizational safe working policies and practices.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to company policies and work requirements.
