Requirements

  • Required education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma.
  • Requires 1-3 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience.
  • Requires a basic understanding of GMP's, HACCP and SQF guidelines.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent along with ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Requires a strong knowledge of AS 400 and AX software.
  • Must be certified in forklift operation.
  • Ability to use other industrial equipment as needed.
  • Requires a valid Driver's License with a good driving record. CDL Classifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Enter data into AX system.
  • Unload meat trucks at multiple locations.
  • Verifies incoming materials.
  • Assists the shipping department with the movement of finished packaged goods to the customer/consumer.
  • Pick orders, loads/unloads trucks, rotate product and participate in inventory counting.
  • Expected to be cross-trained in all areas of Shipping and Receiving department; work in Receiving as needed.
  • Basic computer knowledge in MS Office products as well as AS/400 required.
  • Will be required to work in Warehouse Management System, including a RF gun used to track levels of inventory.
  • Overtime may be frequent during peak production periods.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Takes responsibility of work area to produce a safe and quality food product.
  • Reports all food safety related problems to manager and to the QA department in order to initiate immediate action.
