About The Position

Sunroom Leasing partnered with property managers to lease homes. Recognizing the complexity of the utility setup process for renters and property managers, they developed Utility Profit as a standalone product. Utility Profit aims to enhance the home rental experience by simplifying utility setup, allowing renters to easily view options and arrange water, electric, gas, and internet services for their address. The company is expanding its team to shape the future of moving. Utility Profit collaborates with property managers, offering a 'found revenue' service that boosts their profitability while improving the tenant's move-in experience. Headquartered in Austin, TX, the company operates with a distributed team of over 40 employees. The Order Placer role is crucial for Utility Profit renters, primarily ensuring utility orders are completed and verified. This position involves delivering excellent customer support and sales-adjacent activities, working remotely from Mexico or a location within two hours of the US Central Time Zone.

Requirements

  • Available to work full-time hours (5 days a week, totaling 50 hours) with some weekend availability for a 4-month contract
  • Fluent in English with great verbal and written communication skills
  • Good listener who pays attention to what renters say
  • Driven to push for completion of the order process and not afraid to reach out by phone, text, and email to renters and utility companies
  • Proactively update team members on your work
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and experienced in handling sensitive information securely
  • Willing to go through a standard background check as part of the onboarding process
  • Comfortable using and learning new technology, including proprietary software and having multiple applications and windows open while working
  • Highly organized and able to track multiple moving pieces in a high-volume environment
  • Able to multi-task effectively
  • Friendly, naturally outgoing, and extroverted, able to easily interact with and engage potential renters
  • Understand the rewards as well as the challenges of the rental process from the renter’s perspective
  • Quick on your feet and not flustered by change, able to adapt to changes in process or utility options presented to a renter
  • Enjoy working toward goals and being rewarded, naturally competitive and enjoy being good at what you do

Responsibilities

  • Assist renter customers with placing utility orders and explaining their options
  • Communicate with renters by phone, text, and email
  • Make outgoing calls to follow up with renters and sometimes utility providers
  • Assist with other activities to support clients and the growing team, as time allows
