About The Position

The Order Picker at B&G Foods, Inc. is responsible for accurately selecting products, assembling orders for shipment, and ensuring the accuracy of orders shipped to customers. This entry-level position requires adherence to safety regulations and involves continuous inventory updates as products are picked. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate material-moving equipment safely.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work as a productive team member and at a rapid pace.
• Basic computer keyboarding skills.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift and Order Picker certification preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick finished products from storage racks for customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Company and OSHA safety regulations.
• Perform various functions within the pick module and send orders down the conveyor for wrapping.
• Monitor and remove jams on the conveyor system.
• Prepare orders for shipment by palletizing, wrapping, or boxing products and attaching labels.
• Place packing slips and other required documentation on orders as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Charge and change batteries for equipment as necessary.
• Perform accurate inventory transactions using a computer or RF device.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area and remove waste and products from the floor.
• Assist in training current and new Order Pickers as directed.
• Build and assemble pre-packs and pallet displays according to instructions.
• Perform case counts on completed customer orders as directed.
• Report inventory discrepancies to the supervisor or auditor immediately.
• Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely.
