Purpose of the Position: Accurately pick orders and prepare for shipment.
Requirements
- Basic math skills
- Detailed oriented, organized, and motivated
- Ability to count and use scales
- Ability to understand spoken and written English
- Previous Forklift experience
- Ability to work overtime and needed
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to sit or stand for 8 plus hours daily
- Ability to use both hand, wrists, and arms with continual motion
- Ability to push, pull, grasp, and reach objects
- Ability to lift 30 plus pounds repeatedly
- Ability to bend, stoop and walk frequently
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Forklift to accurately prepare orders for shipment per customer specifications as assigned by shipping coordinator or management
- Perform visual inspection audit of parts to verify part matches part number as well as basic quality standards
- Double check all labeling and part numbers
- Rotate stock to insure first-in-first-out (FIFO)
- Safely load and unload trucks using forklift
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Read and comprehend instructions and following established procedures
- Keep workstation clean and organized
- Cross train in other areas
- Other duties as assigned or required
