About The Position

The Order Picker position at ACCO Brands involves handpicking items from pallets for packaging and shipping. The role requires operating mechanical jacks and forklifts, performing data entry, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and safety regulations. The position is physically demanding and requires attention to detail in handling products and paperwork.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to perform all physical demands of the position including bending, stopping, reaching, walking continuously, and lifting up to 50lbs frequently.
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, written correspondence, and memos, and have the ability to write simple correspondence.
• Must be able to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer certification to operate mechanical power lift devices such as forklift and/or pallet truck.
• Prefer ability to operate personal computer equipment and RF (radio frequency) hand-held wand.

Responsibilities

• Operate a hand pallet jack and may use a forklift or pallet truck if certified.
• Unload trailers with a forklift.
• Unload trailers onto pallets by TOPS specifications.
• Operate personal computer equipment and RF (radio frequency) hand-held wands.
• Deliver merchandise to designated locations in the distribution center by proper procedure.
• Know customer requirements for building a pallet, including height and label location.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations as well as company rules and regulations.
• Work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
