About The Position

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Order Picker South in our Pewaukee, WI location. This position is represented by Local 2150.   This is a first shift position: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with additional overtime opportunities available.Job Summary  Fulfill Company orders for materials as directed by Management and/or employees responsible for work distribution.  Physically picks inventory from designated storage locations and restocks material to ensure accurate and timely delivery of warehouse products. Ensure clean and orderly warehouse premises. Review and complete all necessary paperwork accurately.  Utilize the inventory system to perform all essential functions.  Ensure all work procedures and safety practices are followed.Job Responsibilities  Pick and fulfill customer orders from storagelocations as directed from company systems, warehouse personnel or maqnagement.  Pack, palletize, label, stage and ship orders as directed. Using daily pick list, pick and fulfill inventory items from storage locations based on item number and quantity.  Ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately. Pack and weigh orders as necessary.  Shrink wrap or band products on pallets when required. Use 3rd party shipping programs as needed in respect to packing and shipping orders. Deliver orders to proper staging areas.  Operate material handling equipment, excluding yard specific equipment, and ensure safety regulations are followed. Complete all necessary system transactions. Restock picking locations as needed. Define primary and secondare picking locations as needed. Report all inventory discrepancies when found to appropriate personnel. Complete all necessary system transactions.  Use systems to support, put-away and restocking processes noted above. Operate material handling equipment, excluding yard specific equipment, and ensure safety regulations are followed. Advise the materials management group when inventory levels are running low or when inventory discrepancies are noted.  Contact management regarding outdated material. Perform required housekeeping tasks. Keep storage areas clean and in an orderly condition. Inspect for improper storage of material.  Report damage of pallet racking/shelves, faulty equipment or any other safety hazards to management.  perform daily inspections of material handling equipment. Pick up and deliver materials if necessary, using non CDL vehicles.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have a valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving
  • Candidates will be required to demonstrate their ability to perform the physical functions of the position by completing a Physical Capacity Evaluation
  • STRS (Stores Aptitude):  Ability to understand mechanical concepts; ability to visualize forms in space; ability to compare details and identify whether the same or different.
