About the position

As an Order Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for entering and managing simple to moderate orders for an assigned group of accounts. Your role is to assist with ordering, intake system tools, and release all holds received for your assigned group. You will become the go-to for all order entry, product pricing, research, configuration, and product information. Connect with your assigned pre-sales team to receive and enter orders in support of the customers’ requirements. This will require that you prioritize and respond to incoming order entry requests, follow-up on all open orders in a timely manner, follow through to ensure orders are accurate and placed, all the while, keeping the sales teams informed of any issues pertaining to the order entry within accounts. Prepare, manage, and submit sales orders accurately, with special attention to detail for each order, into the appropriate order entry system. Research technical information on product requests and ensure access to procurement. Ensure correct cost is applied and pricing/ margin is accurate on every order before the order is released. You will also be the one to ensure contract compliance, where necessary. Review all order processing documents for the assigned account to ensure all details have been verified, such as correct sold-to’s, bill-to’s, and ship-to’s, pertinent lab or shipping notes, etc.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of processing orders for computer technology or related experience.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and develop trust with clients and internal personnel.
