About The Position

Siemens Mobility US is looking for an aspiring Logistics and Manufacturing Engineer to come aboard for a 10–12-week internship journey where they will get exposure to what happens behind the scenes to make the rail world go round. During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Logistics and Manufacturing teams where you will learn how to perform tasks within the logistics department with activities and tasks related to manufacturing engineering and supply chain. Requirements

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or similar from an accredited college or university
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required
• Must reside or go to school near internship location (Sacramento, CA)

Nice To Haves

• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Previous internship experience or relevant school projects
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written
• Ability to work on a team
• Interest in learning about the rail industry – project management, customer service operations, manufacturing, etc.

Responsibilities

• Participate and/or facilitate with problem solving or improvement activities
• Development and documentation of new processes and procedures
• Collection and analysis of material data for purchasing optimization
• Communicate effectively with personnel, as the job requires, in a professional manner that facilitates teamwork

Benefits

• The hourly pay range for this position is $23.00 per hour for first time Interns or $28.00 per hour for returning Interns
• Interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program
