About The Position

G&A Partners' client is currently seeking an Order Handler to join its team in Lakeland, FL. The Order Handler is responsible for accurately picking order items from inventory and packaging and boxing customer orders in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with company processes. This role ensures that all items are clean, undamaged, and properly packaged for shipment.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: 0-3 Years
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Prolonged standing throughout the shift.
Frequent handling of paper, cardboard, bubble wrap, and tape.
Use of cutting tools (box cutter, paper cutter) with proper safety precautions.
Lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

Accurately retrieve order items using utility carts and transport them to packing stations.
Clean glass and inspect items for cleanliness and damage before packaging.
Wrap fragile items securely using bubble wrap and other protective materials, following company process.
Pack items into appropriate boxes, ensuring sufficient padding and stuffing, following company process.
Seal packages with tape and apply correct labeling, following company process.
Prep packaging materials and stock staging areas and workstations.
Other tasks as needed to ensure safety, accuracy and efficiency.
Use packing tools and equipment, including: Desk scotch tape dispenser Handheld packing tape dispenser Handheld box cutter Tabletop paper cutter
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
Train incoming Order Handlers.
